Details

Bali International Arbitration Mediation Center (“BIAMC”) emerged as an affirmation of three distinct yet interwoven Asia Pacific phenomena: The Association of Southeast Asian Nations ASEAN), China’s One Belt One Road (OBOR), and The Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC).
The sheer number of projects stemming from these initiatives is and will continue to be staggering. As transnational cooperatives are forged, two inevitable byproducts result: growth and conflict. The former has been engendered through unfathomable global partnerships never previously imagined, which have resulted in unprecedented benefits such as lower prices of goods with tariff elimination, increased availability of quality goods and services to increase consumption, greater mobility of professionals and professional services, increased cross-border trade and investment in all sectors from infrastructure to health care (generating profits for investors and employment), and a limitless galvanization of economies all across the Asia Pacific region. However, the latter has proven to be a mounting concern and justifiable obstacle to continued prosperity. That’s where we at BIAMC come in.
We are a non-profit service center located both in Kuta on Bali Island and in Jakarta on Java Island within the Republic of Indonesia devoted to international dispute settlement through arbitration, mediation, or fact-finding. As the most populous country of ASEAN, Indonesia is in a prime position and BIAMC, as a private, neutral, non-profit venue, aims to develop Indonesia's arbitration and mediation capabilities through international cooperation. Thus, we can aid in bringing about international arbitration and mediation for Indonesia with local friendliness through its archipelagic attractiveness.
BIAMC welcomes all international arbitration and mediation centers to conduct their proceedings (hearings, meetings, preparations, etc) at our premier centers at their leisure and with full control of all processes. We design our services to take into account the special characteristics of international commercial disputes and the parties involved, creating an unparalleled resource that acknowledges and accommodates the interests of all concerned. In addition to our comprehensive suite of professional services, we offer Ad Hoc Arbitration and Mediation services, making BIAMC a full-service solution to all dispute settlement needs.
BIAMC also hosts a variety of events. We hold an International Arbitration Summit yearly, providing a large venue for a broad range of transnational industries to gather, engage, and collaborate on pertinent and complex developments within international arbitration. In addition, we host a variety of commercial and industry-specific events, seminars, and workshops that focus on emerging issues and initiatives relating to the global arbitration landscape.
BIAMC also extends its purview to professional preparation and has become an arbitration and mediation training center, offering certification programs in collaboration with various regional unversities, institutions, organizations in both forms of dispute settlement. Our renowned instructors come from across the globe as experts in their fields to ensure our graduates are realistically skilled and functionally positioned.
Helping our clients navigate the ever-changing Asia Pacific landscape to achieve their goals is our focus—today and for many years to come.
