This workshop will explore Taoist theory through student’s direct experience of qi. Adolf will guide you through a series of seated, standing and moving meditations designed to experience, build and cultivate qi.

Outline

Tao is the path of living in health and harmony with nature. Thousands of years old, Tao acknowledges the infinite wisdom of the body and mind, and that everyone has self-healing ability. This 4 hour workshop is an introduction to the healing power of Qi Gong and Taijiquan, and is based on the fundamental principle of Yin and Yang and Traditional Chinese Medicine – to create smooth and efficient qi circulation through the meridians and acupoints in the body. Through Taoist movement and meditation you can access this self-healing ability, open the energy gates of your mind and body, balance and strengthen your qi, reduce stress and build a stronger immune system. With regular practice you can clear energetic blockages, improve metabolism & absorption of nutrients, & expel toxins. Disturbing emotions are diminished as you begin to feel a deep sense of inner peace and compassion, in harmony with the Tao.

Adolf began his studies of internal martial arts after a Tai Chi workshop with Al Wong in 1979. He explored several internal martial arts systems, but was never really captured until he discovered Ba Gua Zhang in 1999. After struggling for many years with a severe arthritic condition that limited his ability to do martial arts, Adolf focused on Qi Gong for self-healing. “My physical limitations forced me into a deeper understanding of moving with qi and using qi for self-healing. He has been teaching Qi Gong at the Yoga Barn in Ubud, Bali for over five years.
