Speakers
Ben Bury
Ben is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in HFW's Hong Kong office and a Partner in HFW's Singapore office. For more than 13 years, Ben has assisted clients to resolve disputes arising out of complex and high value construction projects. Ben has been based in Asia since 2011 and has advised on disputes arising out of some of the largest and most significant projects in the region. This includes the construction of multi-billion dollar onshore and offshore oil and gas facilities, power plants, underground railways and tunneling projects, ports, roads, refineries, mines and
processing plants, and reclamation works. Highly respected by clients, he is praised as being an "Arbitration specialist" and "‘very, very smart, with a strategic mind and huge knowledge of international construction" in the Legal 500 Asia Pacific guide 2019. Ben is qualified in England & Wales; he is a Registered Foreign Lawyer in Hong Kong; and has been granted full registration as a Registered Foreign Lawyer in the Singapore International Commercial Court.
Andi Yusuf Kadir
Andi is a Partner in the Dispute Resolution Practice Group of Hadiputranto, Hadinoto & Partners (HHP Law Firm). He has extensively represented multinational corporations and local companies in domestic and international arbitration, complex litigation proceedings, court-sanctioned debt restructuring processes (PKPU), and bankruptcy/insolvency litigation. He has represented both lenders and companies in PKPU and bankruptcy/insolvency matters. He has been called as an expert witness in ICC, SIAC and KCAB arbitration proceedings giving opinion on various contractual issues (e.g., illegality of contracts, quantum of damages and force majeure) and Company Law issues. He is the Indonesia member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration in Paris, co-chairman of the arbitration and ADR commission of ICC Indonesia, a committee member of YSIAC (Young Singapore International Arbitration Centre) and an arbitrator on the SIAC Reserve Panel.
